Robotic Process Automation

RPA aims to replace repetitive tasks performed by humans, with a virtual workforce. Humans then make judgmental calls, handle exceptions and provide oversight. Robotic automation uses a computer (a.k.a. robot) to run application software in exactly the same way that a person works with that software.

RPA is deployed across industries to automate many different types of processes to meet specific requirements and strategies ranging from improving individual worker productivity, to automating end-to-end tasks and workflow scheduling/queuing, to automating more complicated rules-based processes with some built-in decision making in the live environment.

Today Enterprise RPA integrated with AI technologies including machine learning and natural language processing provide more capability to handle even unstructured data of a process.

What type of processes should be Automated?

Highly manual and repetitive processes

High transaction volume processes  Highly frequent processes running daily, weekly (instead of monthly or yearly, which involve lots of manual work or work prone to human error)

pic 6.webp

Automation Savings

It’s recommended to automate only the processes that can provide a saving in terms of human work-effort of minimum 2 FTEs

pic 8.webp

Low Exception Rate

Activities with low number of variation scenarios existing in the process leading to different handling procedures.

Rule-Based Processes

Activities with clear processing instructions (template-driven), with decision making based on standardized and predictive rules

pic 5.webp

High Volumes

Processes with high transaction volumes (and high frequency).

Processes with standard readable electronic Input Type

Triggered by standard and consistent inputs. The inputs should be in a readable input type.  Triggered by input types which are not readable.
